G-1090 Status LED (FW v. 2.3.0 and later)
As of firmware version 2.3.0. the LED lights that show the status of the G-1090 receiver have been changed to improve user clarity regarding the device's status. For the previous version, please see the bottom of this page.
The G-1090 air traffic receiver automatically turns on when it detects power from the PoE (Power over Ethernet) connection.
Operational Indicators
The Status LED will provide updates on the receiver's status based on the following color codes:
- Status LED flashing GREEN: Initiating internet connection
- Status LED flashing BLUE: Awaiting GPS fix
- Status LED solid GREEN with regular BLUE flashes: Normal working state
- Status LED flashing RED: Internet connectivity problem
ATTENTION: The status LED is solely an indicator of the device's operational status and connectivity. It does not indicate its capability to detect air traffic signals. The receiver can display a fully functional status even when no aircraft are being detected. Consequently, it is essential to verify coverage and air traffic detection through the INVOLI.live platform. |

Abnormal situations
When the Status LED flashes RED, it indicates various errors:
- 2 RED Flashes/second: The G-1090 air traffic receiver is unable to connect to the internet. Recommended action: Verify internet connection and restart the receiver. If the issue continues, please reach out to INVOLI.
- 3 RED Flashes/second: The G-1090 air traffic receiver failed to achieve a GPS fix. Recommended action: Restart the device. Ensure that the top of the device has a clear view of the sky. If the visibility is obstructed, consider relocating the receiver. Note: The initial GPS fix in a new location may take longer. If the issue persists after 5 restarts, please contact INVOLI.
- 4 RED Flashes/second: Peripheral issue detected. Action to take: Restart the device. If the problem continues, please contact INVOLI.
To restart the receiver, disconnect the Ethernet cable, wait for 10 seconds, and then reconnect the cable to the Ethernet port.
