📄 G-1090 Antenna Configurations

G-1090 Antenna Configurations

The type of receiver determines the specific antennas that need to be connected to the equipment. Below are the various scenarios. Typically, receivers come with labels indicating the appropriate antenna connections.

G-1090

This configuration is designed for receiving ADS-B, Mode A/C, and Mode-S signals within the 1090MHz frequency range. The receiver is equipped with a single antenna, which should be installed as illustrated in the accompanying image.

G-1090 FLARM

This receiver type is capable of receiving signals from FLARM transponders operating in the 868 MHz band, in addition to ADS-B, Mode A/C, and Mode-S signals in the 1090 MHz band. To successfully receive signals on both frequencies, two antennas will be required, and they must be connected as detailed in the instructions provided on the packaging.

G-1090 UAT

This receiver, tailored for the US market, is capable of picking up signals from UAT transponders operating in the 978 MHz band, as well as ADS-B, Mode A/C, and Mode-S signals transmitted in the 1090 MHz band. To effectively capture signals across these two frequencies, it will necessitate the use of two antennas, which should be connected as outlined in the instructions provided on the packaging.
