SITUATION

Following EASA Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945, 2019/947 & 2021/664, all drones in flight must comply with the ASD-STAN 4709-002, providing identification and location information that can be received by authorities and other parties.

SOLUTION

As per law, all drone operators need or will need, to equip their non-compliant drones with modules providing direct remote identification compliance by broadcasting their identity. Those drones will also be required to provide their identification via the network.

What is the drone tracker data consumption?

By a quick estimate, with a period of 3s, the tracker emits 300 kB/h. With 4h/d usage every day this yields ~40MB/month, but it may vary.

What is the tracker’s battery life?

The tracker has an adjustable time of signal emission (from 1 to 3sec). It has a 3h30 battery life when emitting signals every second. 




Do you have any trackers with an embedded transponder (Mode A/C or Mode S)?

No, but it's something we're considering. If this sounds intriguing to you, we can create a custom design on your demand.

Is the tracker ready to be used once received?

Everything is included in the package; all you need is a SIM card with SMS and 50MB per month.
